OREANDA-NEWS. On Wednesday, November 20, 2013, PJSC “ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih” got the license on import of 90 thousand tons of coke issued by Ministry of Economic Development and Trade of Ukraine. Now therefore, PJSC “ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih” got the quota on import of coke in the full volume, allocated by the government of Ukraine till the end of 2013.

Volodymyr Tkachenko, the Head of Representative office of “ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih” in Kyiv: “It is very important for our enterprise to use coal and coke of high quality and of appropriate specifications to produce quality production and guarantee stable work of manufacturing equipment. Previously issued quotas on import of coal was enough for us to load our coke & by-product process, taking into account that major part of coal purchased by us is coming from Ukrainian producers. Our own coke right now amounts to 45% of PJSC ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih manufacturing requirements. Another 35% we purchase from other Ukrainian manufacturers of coke, and 20% we import from the ArcelorMittal Poland enterprises in frames of effective logistical coordination. We deliver iron-ore concentrate to Poland from Kryvyi Rih, and from there we take coke. Quota on import of 90 thousand tons will allow us to continue import of coke from the enterprises of ArcelorMittal in Poland, thus using optimal logistic scheme and fully providing manufacture interests of PJSC “ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih”.
