OREANDA-NEWS. Tata Power, India's largest integrated power company, announced that the company's 'Jeevanrekha' and 'Pehchan' transmission teams have been honoured with the excellence award and the distinction award respectively at the International Convention for Quality Control Circles held in Taipei in October 2013.

Over 200 quality control (QC) teams across the world participated in the convention, including first time participants from USA and South Africa. The theme for this year's convention was “Continuing Implementation of QCC Activities - Moving Towards a Brighter Future of the World”.

Since 2006, QC teams from transmission have put in great efforts resulting in improvements in workplace, safety and sustainability. These efforts have raised the bar and set new quality standards.

Speaking on the recognition, VK Chourey, head, transmission, said, “Our teams have contributed significantly in achieving organisational goals through good practices over the years. Their hard work, dedication and resourcefulness in achieving these milestones are to be commended. We are incredibly proud of our teams and congratulate every member of the Jeevanrekha and Pehchan teams for this achievement and urge them to keep up the good work.”
