OREANDA-NEWS.  December 02, 2013. The Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS Russia) fined “Roliz” Ltd. (the legal successor of “Roliz” CJSC and “Trawler Fleet Administration” Ltd.) over five million Rubles in total for concluding an agreement that could have led to fixing or maintaining prices on the market of catching and selling Pollack and the products of its processing, and for participating in the agreement.

On 1st November 2013 FAS held administratively liable the following participants of the “Pollack” cartel: “Association of Pollock Catchers” Non-Commercial Organization, “Magadanryba” Ltd., “Lamchatimpex” CJSC, “Ostrov Sakhalin” CJSC, “Naxodka Active Marine Fishing Base” OJSC, “Tralflot” OJSC, “Sofko” Ltd., “Sovgavanryba” Ltd., “Polluks” Ltd., “Sakhalin” Fishing Cooperative” Ltd., “Vostokrybprom” Ltd., “Ayan” Ltd., “Dalvest” Ltd., “Dalryba” OJSC, “Okeanrybflot” OJSC, “Preobrazhenskaya Trawler Fleet Base” OJSC, “Pelagial” Ltd., “Intraros” CJSC, “Pacific Ocean Department for Exploratory Fishing and Research Fleet” CJSC, and “Sakhalin Leasing Fleet” CJSC.

The total fines exceeded 113 million Rubles.

On 20th December 2012, FAS found that “Association of Pollock Catchers” violated Part 5 Article 11 of the Federal Law “On Protection of Competition” (unlawful coordination of economic activities), cartel members violated Clause 1 Part 1 Article 11 of the Federal Law “On Protection of Competition” (an agreement that leads to fixing or maintaining prices), and Clause 4 Part 1 Article 11 of the Federal Law “On Protection of Competition” (an agreement that leads to reduced production).

On 23rd October 2013, Moscow Arbitration Court confirmed legitimacy of FAS decision on a case on cartel on the market of catching and sales of Pollack and the products of its processing.
