OREANDA-NEWS. Dmitry Olyunin took a position of the Chairman of Rosbank Management Board upon authorization from the Central Bank of Russia.

Dmitry Olyunin commented on his appointment: “Societe Generale Group is one of the acknowledged leaders of the global banking industry. And I consider my appointment as a head of the Group's main asset in Russia an important stage in my professional career. Today Rosbank is one of the largest and stable universal financial institutions in the country. Our task is the most efficient realization of its high potential with regard to the current market requirements.”

Dmitry Olyunin

Born in 1968, Dmitry Olyunin graduated from the Moscow State University in Economics, the Institute of Political Studies of Paris (Economics and Finance) and holds a Master of Arts in Economics, Banking and Finance from Paris IX Dauphine University.

He started his career in 1996 in the Russian Regional Development Bank, where he became Senior Vice-President and then joined VTB Group in 2004.

In 2006 Dmitry became First Deputy Chairman of PromStroyBank, transformed shortly after into VTB North-Western Bank which he led as Chairman of the Management Board from 2007.

In 2011, Dmitry Olyunin was appointed to TransCreditBank and has run its merger with VTB24 in early November, 2013. Since December 2, 2013, Dmitry Olyunin holds a position of the Chairman of Rosbank Management Board.
