OREANDA-NEWS.   The panel discussion on "Supply of Equipment for ROSATOM’s NPP Construction Projects Abroad" was held at the V International Forum of the Nuclear Industry Suppliers ATOMEX 2013 on December 3. The reports were presented by the specialists of Rusatom Overseas and NIAEP - ASE.

NIAEP representatives spoke on the current status of ROSATOM’s overseas projects, as well as methods of interacting with suppliers and requirements to their production. The representatives of Rusatom Overseas analyzed various factors affecting ROSATOM’s competitiveness on global nuclear energy market. Vyacheslav Ivanov, Deputy Director General of Rusatom Overseas spoke on the approaches to the finance structuring of ROSATOM’s overseas projects. He emphasized that when choosing an NPP supplier a significant role is given to his ability to attract debt financing. He also outlined various funding schemes of NPP construction on different stages of the project.

Pavel Krivenkov, Head of scenario modeling of Rusatom Overseas presented the Forum participants the technology of scenario dynamic modeling. Today this method, implemented in such projects as Hanhikivi in Finland and Akkuyu in Turkey, allows to consider various scenarios of project realization beforehand, as well as to evaluate the project’s competitiveness at any stage of its development.
