OREANDA-NEWS. December 31, 2013. The Bank of China Medan Branch was officially opened for business in the city of Medan, North Sumatera, Indonesia. So far, BOC has set up 9 branches in Indonesia.

Since opening its first branch in Indonesia in 2003, BOC has actively promoted bilateral trade between the two countries, supported local infrastructure construction, and boosted the local RMB business, gradually becoming a partner and guide in cross-border investment and import/export trade for enterprises from both countries.

The official opening of Medan Branch in Indonesia will further facilitate the cooperation in the financial sector between China and Indonesia, and provide more convenience and services to the industrial and commercial communities in both countries.
