OREANDA-NEWS. February 20, 2014. The bill "On ratification of the Agreement on the financial rules of the Secretariat of the Cooperation Council of Turkic Speaking States (CCTS) goes to the Senate of the Parliament of Kazakhstan.

Document has been presented today by Deputy Foreign Minister of Kazakhstan Alexey Volkov. "The document has been ratified by Azerbaijan and Turkey. Kyrgyzstan completes the internal coordination. In view of the above, dear senators, I ask you to support this bill," A. Volkov said at the enlarged meeting of the Committee on Foreign Affairs, Defense and Security of the Senate.

Ratification of the bill will allow to complete the process of creating the legal framework of the Turkic Council (CCTS), he said. "As for the agreement itself, the document defines the procedure and conditions of financial and economic activities of the Secretariat, sets funding sources and the formation of the budget," Deputy Foreign Minister said.

We would remind you that earlier the bill "On ratification of the Agreement on the financial rules of the Secretariat of the CCTS" was approved at the end of January by the Majilis at the plenary meeting in Astana.

Turkic Council was established on our President’s initiative in October 2009.

It should be noted that today CCTS is full Turkic international organization that aims to strengthen and further develop trade, economic and cultural cooperation between the Turkic states.

In 2014, the total budget of the Secretariat of the CCTS will be USD3 million 40 thousand dollars.
