OREANDA-NEWS. UNIQLO, the global apparel retailer from Japan, today announces the Spring 2014 launch new location in Marseille, France.

Starting its expansion across France, UNIQLO will open it in the beautiful city of Marseille, European Capital of Culture 2013.

Located in the heart of Euromediterranea, the biggest business district in South Europe and new cultural area of Marseille, the brand new mall Les Terrasses du Port will offer to its visitors 61,000 square meters over 4 floors dedicated to shopping and leisure time.

Commenting on today's announcement, Berndt Hauptkorn, Fast Retailing Group Officer and UNIQLO Europe CEO, said, "Fulfilling our ambition to expand across France and Europe, we are thrilled to open our first store in Les Terrasses du Port in Marseille, bringing UNIQLO products to both locals and visitors." He added, "We continue to hire in France and will launch a recruitment campaign to be able to staff our new UNIQLO Marseille store."

The first UNIQLO store in Marseille will offer a selected line of men's and women's collections over approximately 685 square meters of sales floor.
