Belarus Cuts 2014 Mandatory Insurance Tariffs on Cattle, Poultry
OREANDA-NEWS. Belarus has reduced the tariffs on mandatory insurance of cattle and poultry in 2014 in accordance with a resolution adopted by the Belarusian head of state.
The insurance tariffs on pedigree brood livestock have been reduced from 0.049 to 0.042, pigs - from 0.538 to 0.513, hens - from 0.316 to 0.219.
The insurance tariff with regard to damages resulting from crop reseeding shall stand at 50%, government slaughter disease - 100%.
Belarus introduced mandatory insurance of farm crops and the most precious species of livestock and poultry in 2008. The government covers 95% of the insurance premium, while crop and livestock producers will have to pay the remaining 5%.
