OREANDA-NEWS. United Metallurgical Company (OMK CJSC, based in Moscow) won the “Best Business Reputation” award in the 8th annual “Captains of Russian Business” contest (which honors non-commercial businesses). The certificates were awarded at a special ceremony in Moscow on May 22, 2014.

The awards ceremony was organized by the magazine “Upravlenye Personalom” (“Personnel Management”). The winners are determined based on surveys of leading experts in HR and PR, business schools, and reports on company activities from the previous year. In addition to high business indicators, the panel evaluates a company's social impact, the level of its business ethics, and the employer's positive image. A total of 220 companies and specialists successfully working in the Russian market won “Captains of Russian Business” awards in 2014.

“A company's business reputation is made up of a number of factors, and is something that takes years to build,” said Svetlana Nikolashina, OMK's HR Director. ”OMK is happy and honored to receive positive feedback and approval for its planned activities from the expert community. Stable production results and a high level of social responsibility will continue to be the company's main development directions.”
