The largest share (58,5%) in the total volume of term deposits in the national currency in May 2014 accounted for the deposits with the maturity from 6 to 12 months, which were attracted at an average interest rate of 4.52% (in April - 4,63%).

The term deposits in MDL attracted from individuals in May 2014 made up 52.1% of the total volume of the term deposits in the national currency increasing by 2.3% compared with the previous month. Average interest rate on deposits attracted from individuals amounted in May to 7.36% p.a. (7.48% the previous month).

At the same time, the average interest rate on the deposits attracted from legal entities, amounted in May 2,44%, having increased by 0.04% in comparison with the previous month.
