Representatives from Mitsui Visit Port Operations in Mozambique Repres
OREANDA-NEWS. A delegation of the multinational Japanese company Mitsui visited Vale installations at Porto da Beira in Mozambique. The objective was to understand the logistic operations and the ore railway transport system. The group also visited the coal-offloading terminal at Quay 8 where they observed how coal is transported.
Beyond a commercial partnership, Vale and Mitsui have had an exchange programme since 2003 which offers an immersion into the processes of Mitsui, Vale and partner companies through sharing experiences and technical visits. In Brazil the initiative is coordinated by Valer - Vale Education since 2007.
2013 marked 10 years since the start of the exchange programme and saw the graduation of its 21st class.
