OREANDA-NEWS. August 18, 2014. The Australian Government is ready to provide comprehensive assistance to Ukraine in this difficult time for the country - this was discussed during the meeting of Minister of Economic Development and Trade of Ukraine Pavlo Sheremeta with the Australian delegation headed by Commissioner of the Prime Minister of Australia on the investigation into circumstances of Malaysia Airlines flight MH17 crash Allan Grant Houston. 

"We would like to provide substantial and timely assistance to Ukraine, a kind of humanitarian package. The second thing we would like to do and what available in our Government tools allow us to do is to contribute to the development of the agricultural sector, trade and defense industry of Ukraine ", stated Allan Grant "Angus "Houston. 

Pavlo Sheremeta, in his turn, noted that the Australian experience is very valuable for Ukraine, because the agricultural sector takes a leading role in the economy of both states.

"I really appreciate the support of the Australian Government in this difficult time for both of our nations. Australia has a strong agricultural complex, innovative technology, and of course, Ukraine could use the Australian experience, because we need technical changes, including in industry markets ", noted Pavlo Sheremeta.

Also during the meeting the parties discussed the issue of assistance so as to rebuild the infrastructure of the eastern regions, including social infrastructure, new jobs as well as placement of displaced citizens of Ukraine from the conflict’s area.
