OREANDA-NEWS. Belarus-based woodworking companies increased output 6.5% in January-September 2014 to Br8.959 trillion (USD 838 million), the National Statistics Committee told.

The output of fuelwood pellets grew by 23.7% to 53,100 tonnes, parquetry flooring materials - down 3.4% to 378,300 square metres. Plywood output grew 0.9% to 125,800 cubic metres, fibreboard - up 38.2% to 37.2 million equivalent square metres.

Timber output shrank 7.4% to 618,300 cubic metres.

Furniture output expanded 6.3% to Br6.195 trillion (USD 579.523 million).

Inventories stood at Br587.4 billion (USD 54.948 million) as of October 1, 2014, 108.9% of the average monthly output.

Fibreboard inventories reduced 0.9% on the month to 4 million square metres cubic metres as of October 1, 2014, timber materials - down 3.7% to 20,900 cubic metres, fuelwood pellets - up 0.7% to 700 tonnes, plywood - down 2.3% to 5,500 cubic metres, parquetry flooring materials - up 3.4% to 68,200 square metres.

Furniture inventories totalled Br714.8 billion (USD 66.866 million) as of October 1, 2014, 100.2% of the average monthly output, down 19.6% month on month.
