OREANDA-NEWS. Travelers at Denver International Airport have a new, healthy dining option with today's opening of Modmarket, a Colorado-based eatery that features food made fresh with simple, whole ingredients.

The 900-square-foot restaurant is located in the center of the B Concourse.

"Denver International Airport continues to cultivate an impressive selection of shopping and dining experiences, as we reimagine our concessions program," said airport CEO Kim Day. "Modmarket is a healthy local brand that will provide our travelers with another taste of the flourishing Denver food scene."

Modmarket offers a seasonally changing menu that includes farm-fresh salads, pizzas made with whole grain dough topped with hand crushed, organic tomatoes, scratch made soups, toasted sandwiches, classic homestyle plates, and breakfast entrees made with cage-free eggs and all-natural nitrate-free breakfast meats. Modmarket provides many gluten-free, vegan and vegetarian options, and breaks down the nutritional content of meals on each receipt.

"We are very proud to offer airport travelers a healthy, fresh and fast meal option that will keep them fueled throughout their journey," says Modmarket co-founder Anthony Pigliacampo. "Modmarket's real food focus provides a simple, delicious, chef-driven menu that travelers the world over will enjoy and seek out each time they fly through Denver International Airport."

The DIA location is the company's ninth Colorado location. It is operated by Tastes Denver LLC, a partnership between Tastes on the Fly and IRG, LLC.

"We look forward to adding this authentic taste of Colorado to the Denver International Airport. Modmarket epitomizes our commitment to eating well, supporting unique local flavors and being good environmental stewards. Their success in the Denver market, growing to 8 locations in just six years, demonstrates the healthy vibe they strike with Coloradans," said Michael Levine, CEO of Tastes on the Fly restaurants.

A second Modmarket restaurant is expected to open on the C Concourse this spring.
