OREANDA-NEWS.  Lada Granta sedan version will be deprived of an automatic transmission, and in addition to a manual transmission it will be equipped only with a "robot". Modifications of sedan Lada Granta with "automatic" transmisison has disappeared from the official website of the brand. The liftback still has Japanese "automatic” transmission Jatco, however, probably five-door Granta will also lose this transmission when it will be also equipped with "robot", writes the magazine "AvtoSreda."

"In 2015, it is planned to equip only with the AMT the cars Lada Granta. But the principle possibility of producing of complete sets with automatic transmission remains. AMT has a number of advantages: it has two driving modes (automatic and manual switching), it saves fuel, it is cheaper and more maintainable", - the press center of AvtoVAZ informed “AvtoSreda".

In this case, the company clarified that the Lada Kalina is still available with the "automatic". "It is not planned AMT for Lada Kalina, automatic transmission remains. But in any case the vehicle set is determined by the requirements of the market: AvtoVAZ is going to respond flexibly to customer needs”, - noted in the company.

Sales of Lada Granta sedan with an automated manual gearbox started the last week. The most accessible version of this model with the "robot" will cost 401,300 rubles. Liftback of Lada Granta with automatic transmission costs 495,500 rubles, prices of Lada Kalina with "automatic"  transmission start from 457 thousand rubles.
