OREANDA-NEWS. Tele2, an alternative mobile operator, has launched a project on development of its single-brand network in Moscow and Moscow Region. A new federal operator will begin providing mobile services in Moscow Region in 2H15.

Tele2 has started preparations for the launch of operations in Moscow, including its retail chain rollout. The company has signed first agreements on the property lease and it will soon begin opening single-brand stores in shopping centers situated in Moscow and Moscow Region.

Tele2’s first partners are the following malls: Rechnoy, Columbus, BUM, Vodnyy, Parus, Viva, Cheremushki, MetroMarket, Zig Zag, Lyublinksiy Passazh, Mandarin, Konfetti.

Tele2 is also planning to open PoS in large shopping centers of Moscow Region: RIO in Reutov and Kolomna, Svetofor in Lyubertsy, Iyun in Krasnogorsk, Edelweis in Zheleznodorzhnyy, Aviator in Zhukovskiy, Novyye Khimki in Khimki, Korston in Serpukhov and others.

Apart from PoS located in popular shopping centers, Tele2 is planning to open its flagship stores in the most visited streets of Moscow.

Tele2 is developing its retail chain in all penetrated regions by using a format of mobile supermarket and a concept of self-service store which is unique on the Russian telecommunications market. Each visitor may compile a most suitable package of mobile services, pick out a phone number and add up all necessary options. This process can be compared to visiting a regular supermarket. Having made up his choice, a visitor pays all purchases at the checkout, after which he may immediately start using services.

Roman Volodin, Chief Commercial Officer at Tele2:

“Tele2 has always sought to be closer to its subscribers and developed its retail chain so that its stores would be located within walking distance. When planning our distribution network in Moscow we are using the same principle. It is very important for us that each potential customer had an opportunity to connect to Tele2 and get a first-class service where it is most convenient. That is why we are thoroughly choosing locations of our stores making preference for the most visited sites. We are planning to roll out an effective and high-quality single-brand retail chain for the Tele2 launch in Moscow, establish partnership with national mobile retailors and develop alternative sales channels.”
