OREANDA-NEWS. SSE has completed the sale of the Cour, Blackcraig and Whiteside Hill wind farm developments to Blue Energy for an undisclosed sum.  Whiteside Hill and Blackcraig wind farms are located in Dumfries and Galloway and Cour is located in Argyll and Bute.  The three wind farms will have a combined installed capacity of up to 98.7 MW once constructed. The sale sees ownership and responsibility for constructing the three wind farms, which all have planning consent, transfer to Blue Energy with immediate effect.

Martin Pibworth, SSE’s Managing Director, Wholesale, said: “We are pleased to confirm the sale of our Cour, Blackcraig and Whiteside Hill onshore wind farm projects to Blue Energy. The sale represents the next step, following the recent sale of Langhope Rig wind farm, in a programme of disposals to recycle capital and optimise our wind farm pipeline. The proceeds from the disposal of these three projects will help to support our future investments in new renewable energy assets.”

Under the sale agreement, responsibility for setting up and managing the community investment funds associated with each project will be transferred over to Blue Energy.
