KAMAZ expects 40% sales decline in Russia in the first half year
OREANDA-NEWS. KAMAZ expects 40% decrease in its vehicle sales in Russia to 8,000 -10,000 trucks in the first half year. This was announced by CEO of the company Sergey Kogogin, who also mentioned that forecasts for the second half of the year would be better.
At the end of May, it was announced that KAMAZ had revised the June work schedule due to the continuing decline in the truck market, Interfax agency reports. Then, the company stated that there was no chance to increase vehicle sales.
In January-April 2015, KAMAZ sold 5,000 trucks in Russia, which is 49% less than for the same period in 2014. According to the company, the Russian market of 14-40-ton trucks came up to 9,200 vehicles during four months of the current year, which is 62% less than a year ago. As per the results of four months, KAMAZ share in the Russian market was 54% vs. 41% for the same period last year.
