OREANDA-NEWS. Power management company Eaton today announced the new Home Generator Sizing Calculator, a user- and mobile-friendly intuitive, interactive web tool that allows homeowners and contractors to easily identify backup power needs. By selecting a generator based on home size, type of power supply and desired household appliances and electronics to be backed up, the tool provides optional backup power solutions to minimize installation costs, as well as energy saving options to reduce ongoing fuel consumption.

The interactive web tool also directly connects homeowners and local Eaton certified contractors, simplifying the installation and purchase process, enhancing the buying experience and providing contractors with high-quality leads.

“Launching in the midst of the 2015 Hurricane Season, the Home Generator Sizing Calculator allows homeowners and contractors to quickly and easily review system options and select the best generator for the application,” said Adrian Sanchez, product engineer, Generators and ATS, Eaton. “Choosing a generator based on their own unique needs allows homeowners to find the optimal fit for their home, saving on installation costs and minimizing fuel costs.”

Eaton’s complete line of backup power generators continually monitor connections to the local electric utility and automatically switch to generator power in the event of an outage. Eaton also offers round-the-clock telephone support for contractors and distributors, including pre-sale support through Eaton’s Technical Resource Center and installation and technical support through Eaton’s Generator Aftermarket Support team.
