ARMZ project was included in the road map for development of Russian and Chinese cooperation
A number of major projects guaranteeing the development of Russian-Chinese energy cooperation were included in the road map. One of such projects was a coal into diesel fuel processing plant on the basis of the production site of PJSC PIMCU (comprises the management structure of ARMZ uranium holding).
Let us remind that ARMZ embarked on project implementation last year signing a memorandum of understanding with major Chinese companies China National Machinery Import&Export Corp., Synfuels China and GR Project Management Co. The document fixed the decision of the parties to construct the coal diesel plant with the capacity of 500 thous. tons based on the Chinese CTL technology in Krasnokamensk town of the Zabaikalye Territory.
A prerequisite for project inclusion in the international cooperation road map was its successful defense at the scientific technical Council at the Energy Industry of Russia.
Yuriy Dmitrak, ARMZ representative- advisor to the general director, was included in the Russian delegation. He noted: “The project is interesting in that it enables to produce synthetic fuel of premium category with minimum costs. Its cost effectiveness is conditioned upon availability of rich coal fields, possibility for connection to water and heat resources at moderate prices and favourable location in terms of logistics. Besides, assignment of the status of the advanced development territory to Krasnokamensk must become an important condition for successful project development, which will provide significant preferences for a new production facility arrangement in terms of taxation”.
Based on meeting results, a Protocol was signed, in which parties support mutual work of JSC Atomredmetzoloto, JSC SUEK and Chinese companies for developing a coal into diesel fuel processing facility.
