OREANDA-NEWS. CF Industries Holdings, Inc. (NYSE: CF) today announced that Tom Grooms has joined the company as vice president and chief information officer. Grooms succeeds Kirk Siefkas, who will be retiring later this year.

Grooms will be responsible for the company’s overall information technology (IT) strategy and planning. This includes the planning and implementation of enterprise IT systems in support of CF’s operations in order to improve cost effectiveness, service quality and business development.

Prior to joining CF, Grooms was vice president and chief information officer of Valspar. Previously, he served in various IT leadership roles with Medtronic. He earned a B.S. degree in Finance from Valparaiso University and holds an M.B.A. from the University of Illinois at Chicago.
