OREANDA-NEWS. Ford Motor Company of Canada, Ltd. sales increased 23 per cent in February, outpacing a strong start to the year for the automotive industry. Momentum was led by record February sales of Ford F-Series, Canada’s top-selling pickup for 50 consecutive years, and the Canadian-built Ford Edge.

“New vehicle sales in Canada are off to a fast start this year with consumers continuing to make Ford their favourite automotive brand,” said Dianne Craig, president and CEO, Ford of Canada. “With more of our most popular vehicles available at Ford dealerships, our Costco incentive starting, and the new Ford Escape and new Ford Fusion on the way, we expect this sales momentum to continue.”

Lincoln sales increased seven per cent in February, marking the sixth consecutive month of sales growth for the luxury brand in Canada.
