OREANDA-NEWS. Ross Allen has been appointed Vice President of Global Sales and Field Operations for BAE Systems Applied Intelligence, where he will be responsible for the sales and delivery of the defence company’s security solutions worldwide.

A 30-year technology sector professional, Allen has held positions at some of the largest and most widely renowned brands in the industry. He also served in sales leadership roles with EMC Corporation, where he was Country Manager, Oracle, and IBM Canada Ltd.

Prior to his role at McAfee, Allen was President of Infostream Technologies Inc., a Bell Canada company. He also spent six years as the Canadian Country Manager for EMC Corporation and three years as a Branch Manager at Oracle Corporation.

Allen’s appointment is the latest step by BAE Systems to further strengthen its global team and ensure it is well positioned to take advantage of growth opportunities. The Company also recently appointed Michael Fleishman as General Manager for the Americas region. Both Fleishman and Allen will report into Tim Harvey, President of Commercial Solutions for BAE Systems.

Allen earned a bachelor’s degree in economics from the University of Western Ontario in London, Ontario, Canada. He also holds a business administration degree in management information systems from York University in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.
