OREANDA-NEWS. July 25, 2016. Qualification competition among professionals of JSC TGC-1 CHPPs culminated in St. Petersburg. The first place and the highest scores were given to the power engineers of Petrozavodskaya CHPP.

The team of Pervomayskaya CHPP became the silver medalist, the team of Avtovskaya CHPP of JSC TGC-1 – the bronze one.

Within four days nine teams from St. Petersburg, Murmansk, Republic of Karelia, Leningrad and Murmansk Oblasts representing heat and power plants demonstrated their safety knowledge, equipment control skills and ability to act in different situations.

— For the past five years we have been holding such large-scale competitions among operating staff. Training, coaching and contesting provide skills that are required in practice. We analyze in details the results and develop an action plan to improve professional trainings, - said Alexey Vorobyev, Deputy Chief Engineer of JSC TGC-1 at the winners award ceremony.

The tasks of the competition were as close to real conditions of station operation as possible. The participants passed nine stages that allowed to evaluate the coherence of teamwork and individual skills. The most spectacular contests were the equipment fire response and first aid to a victim.
