OREANDA-NEWS. The pipe-laying vessel Akademik Chersky stopped at the point of construction of the gas pipeline Nord Stream 2. This follows from the data from Marine Traffic.

The ship is located between the coast of Poland and the Danish island of Bornholm. To complete the project Nord Stream 2, there is a need to build about 6 % of the pipeline length, mainly in Danish waters.

Supply vessels are also in the area of the pipeline construction. Umka and the icebreaker Vladislav Strizhov are in the port of Mukran, where the construction logistics base is located.

Fortuna, which the German authorities have called the pipelayer for Nord Stream 2 in their waters, is anchored off the coast of Germany, near Rostock. The fact that Fortuna may continue the construction of the German section of the gas pipeline became known on December 5 from the documents of the Federal Maritime and Hydrographic Agency of Germany. From the same day, a building permit is valid.
