OREANDA-NEWS. IDGC of Centre is contributing to the preparations for the celebration of the 71st anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War. On the eve of the memorable date the power engineers provide in regions of its service area electricity supply to memorials and monuments under construction and reconstruction for the holiday. In places, where there was fighting, specialists of the company’s branches are engaged in landscaping and putting in order graves of soldiers of the Red Army.

Employees of Bryanskenergo will do traditional voluntary work at supervised memorial sites. They will put in order the military burial ground in the village of Golubeya over which they have been patrons since 2012, as well as the Obelisk in Klintsovsky district, established in memory of partisan families, who were shot by the Nazis 30 May 1942. Experts of the Orel branch of the company on the eve of Victory Day will take part in the beautification of the memorial complex in the village of Vyazhi in Novosilsky district. It was there in July 1943 the triumphant liberation of the Orel land from the Nazi invaders began. The plans of Belgorodenergo include conducting voluntary work day for improvement of the personalized park and tomb of the full Chevalier of the Order of Glory, the first power engineer of Rakityansky district A. Pisklov in the village of Rakitnoye, as well as work on illumination of the monument to the soldiers who fell in World War II in the town of Shebekino.

Power engineers of Tambovenergo for years have been taking care of the memorial to soldiers, who died during the Great Patriotic War, located in the village of Kovylka in the Tambov region. Here, there busts of soldiers installed - natives of these places: the only among residents of the village of Kovylka full Chevalier of the Order of Glory Mikhail Abramov and Hero of the Soviet Union Alexander Surov. By the way, the monument owes its appearance to the power engineers. The idea of its construction belongs to the son of Mikhail Abramov, the head of the department of integrated management systems of Tambovenergo Alexander Abramov. The monument was built in October 2011 with charitable funds, with the active assistance of employees of Kirsanovsky Distribution Zone of Tambovenergo, who were taking part in all kinds of work. In late April the power engineers put in order the surrounding territory, updated the memorial stele and inscriptions on the monument, replaced light bulbs in street lamps, prepared the ground under beds. In addition, they renewed the paint coating of the installed busts of the soldiers-heroes.

Employees of Voronezhenergo have done work on improvement of the mass grave located in Kurnatovskogo street in the urban micro-district of Somovo. Activists of the Youth Council of the enterprise took patronage over the Memorial last year, when they put the burial in order, painted the fence and, along with veterans planted young trees next to the monument to fallen soldiers.

On the eve of the 71st anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War employees of Kurskenergo tidied up the monument to the legendary pilot, thrice Hero of the Soviet Union Ivan Kozhedub. The monument was erected in Medvensky district of the Kursk region at the location of a military airfield of destroyer regiment 240.

Experts of Lipetskenergo repaired by 9 May street lighting of the city of military glory Yelets, which during the war stood in the way of the enemy breaking to Moscow. And street lights of the city of Usman will also shine brighter for the holiday thanks to Lipetsk power engineers. Another contribution to the celebration of Victory Day of the power engineers of the Lipetsk branch will be festive lights of the stele erected to commemorate the 71 anniversary of the Victory in one of the historical squares of the city of Lebedyan.
