Champion Energy Services, a subsidiary of Calpine Corporation (NYSE:CPN), has once again ranked highest in customer satisfaction among Texas residential retail electricity providers (REPs), according to the J.D. Power 2016 Electric Provider Retail Customer Satisfaction Study released last week. This is the sixth time Champion Energy has received the top ranking in the past seven years.

The J.D. Power study, conducted by surveying customers throughout the state, measures customer satisfaction with REPs across six factors: price, billing and payment, corporate citizenship, communications, enrollment/renewal and customer service. Champion Energy’s overall satisfaction score of 793 is the highest overall score of any ranked Texas REP since the study began.
