OREANDA-NEWS. The price of oil supplied to Belarusian refineries increased by 34% compared to December 2018 due to the growth of oil quotes and the negative impact of the tax maneuver in the Russian oil sector. This was announced by Deputy Chairman of the Belneftekhim concern Andrei Bunakov, whose interview was published on Friday in the enterprise’s corporate magazine.

"In December 2019, oil price growth continued, the average quote rose to $ 66.3 per barrel, at some peak times it already reaches $ 69 per barrel", Bunakov said. “Given the growth of oil quotes (more than 15%), the negative impact of the tax maneuver and the resulting fluctuations in the Belarusian ruble exchange rate, the price of raw materials supplied to Belarusian refineries increased by 34% compared to December 2018".

Earlier it was reported that Belneftekhim noted that as of April 26, the gap between the cost of oil and the change in prices for automotive fuel at gas stations in Belarus increased.
