OREANDA-NEWSRussia intends to 100% fulfill the terms of the deal to reduce OPEC+ oil production, Russian Energy Minister Alexander Novak told reporters on the sidelines of the Russian-Saudi Investment Forum, organized by RDIF, SAGIA and SCISP. “In October there will be 100%”, he said, answering the question whether Russia will complete the deal in October.

Russia in September reduced production by 200 thousand barrels per day, although under the terms of the agreement it was supposed to reduce by 228 thousand barrels. Russia exceeded its obligations under the deal in May-July against the background of suspension of oil transit due to contamination of the Druzhba pipeline by organochlorine.

According to Novak, the countries participating in the transaction to reduce OPEC+ oil production are not discussing the revision of the terms of the agreement. Earlier, Russian President Vladimir Putin in an interview with Arab TV said that oil reserves should be reduced to a reasonable limit so that they don't put pressure on oil prices.
