OREANDA-NEWS The Czech Republic intends to reduce dependence on oil supplies via the Russian Druzhba pipeline by increasing the capacity of the Transalpine TAL pipeline in 2024. This is reported by the EFE agency with reference to the statement of the Czech Prime Minister Petr Fiala.

He held talks with his Italian counterpart Giorgia Meloni. According to Finale, the Czech company Mero has reached an agreement with the shareholders of the TAL consortium. Increasing the capacity of this oil pipeline will allow the Czech Republic to diversify its sources of fuel.

"Mero has reached an agreement with the shareholders of the Transalpine oil pipeline consortium TAL to increase its capacity," Fiala said.

The implementation of this project is scheduled for 2024. At the same time, the signing of an agreement between the operator of Czech oil pipelines and shareholders is expected in May this year.
