OREANDA-NEWS  Russian Energy Minister Sergei Tsivilev held a working meeting with member of the Board (Minister) for Energy and Infrastructure of the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) Arzybek Kozhoshev, at which the parties discussed the creation of common markets for oil, petroleum products and gas of the EAEU, the Ministry of Energy of the Russian Federation reports.

"Sergey Tsivilev and Member of the Board (Minister) for Energy and Infrastructure of the Eurasian Economic Commission Arzybek Kozhoshev discussed further steps necessary to create common energy markets in the Eurasian Economic Union. During the dialogue, the current situation with the formation of common markets for oil, petroleum products and gas was discussed," the report says.

During the discussion, it was noted that the issue of forming common EAEU markets is at the highest level of control.

In addition, special attention was paid to the gas sector. Sergey Tsivilev said that Russia's consolidated position on the draft Plan for the development of the common Gas Market had been sent to the EEC and strictly corresponded to earlier decisions. Significant progress was also noted in the electric power sector, where the necessary regulatory framework has already been formed and infrastructure organizations have been identified.

"The parties supported the need to speed up the approval of the form of the Accession Agreement and launch electronic document management," the Ministry of Energy said in a statement.
