The company said in a statement that the suspension of activities in Russia is due to "concern about the current situation and the complexity of the work."

Sephora representatives have notified that the closure of stores and online sales will take place within the next 24 hours, that is, already on March 8th.

It is noted that the company intends to support employees of its stores and offices in Russia.

Sephora is owned by conglomerate LVMH (Louis Vuitton Moet Hennessy), which announced the temporary closure of its boutiques in Russia earlier.

Earlier, the British online clothing and cosmetics store ASOS suspended the delivery of goods to Russia.

On March 7, Tommy Hilfiger and Calvin Klein stores were already closed in Russia.

The company's online trading in Russia was suspended on February 28.

At the same time, the corporation said that it will support 550 of its employees in Russia, and they will continue to receive wages.

Earlier, a similar decision was made by the world's largest clothing retail chain Hennes & Mauritz (H&M), Inditex, which owns the brands Zara, Massimo Dutti, Bershka, Oysho, Pull & Bear, as well as the conglomerate of luxury goods manufacturers Kering (Gucci, Balenciaga, Bottega Veneta). , Saint Laurent, and watchmaker Ulysse Nardin).
