OREANDA-NEWS  Sales of sugar-free soda on the Russian market fell by almost 10 percent after the departure of Coca-Cola and Pepsi. This is reported by Kommersant with reference to data from the research company NielsenIQ. The share of such drinks fell by 8.5 percent.

For comparison: a year earlier, carbonated drinks without sugar, on the contrary, showed an increase. According to analysts, from November 2020 to November 2021, sales of sugar—free soda in volume increased by 10.7 percent, in money - by 19.9 percent. According to the interlocutor of the publication, the trend is associated with a reduction in the presence of two major manufacturers in Russia.

Earlier it became known that Coca-Cola drinks imitating Coca-Cola began to appear in some Russian stores. In particular, they were found in the capital's stores of the "Traffic Light" chain. According to the label, the soda was made "with the permission of The Coca-Cola Company" by the Russian bottler of the company — Coca-Cola HBC Eurasia LLC at a production facility in the capital, whose address coincides with the location of the factory owned by Multon Partners, where Coca-Cola was produced.

In early March, the American company The Coca-Cola Company (brands Coca-Cola, Fanta, Sprite, "Dobry", "My family", Bonaqua) suspended work in Russia.
