OREANDA-NEWS. The Russians who left the country began to massively rent apartments in the near and far abroad, which is why rental prices have increased markedly. RBC writes about it.

Turkey, Georgia, Armenia and Uzbekistan have had the greatest impact on the growth in apartment rental prices. The cost of renting housing in Turkey in April is three to four times higher than prices at the end of February. For example, earlier it was possible to rent a 1 + 1 apartment (a kitchen and a bedroom combined with a living room) for an average of 2.5–4.5 thousand liras (13.6–24.6 thousand rubles) per month. Now similar offers cost 10-20 thousand lira (54.7-109.4 thousand rubles).

In Georgia, for the same period, the demand for rental housing increased by one and a half times. If earlier the average monthly rent in Tbilisi was about $300 (23.8 thousand rubles), now prices have risen to $500 (39.7 thousand rubles).

In Armenia, in a month and a half, there were 15,000 more Russians, which is why rental prices also increased. On average, the increase was 50-60% of the February figures.

Unexpectedly, Uzbekistan became popular with Russians, which also affected rental rates in Tashkent. For example, rental prices in the capital of Uzbekistan increased by an average of 15%. The cheapest one-room apartment in Tashkent can be rented for 21.2 thousand rubles, which is 17% higher than in February.

On April 17, Kommersant wrote that in Russia the supply of long-term housing has increased by 18-30%. Previously rented apartments, premises that cannot be quickly sold due to the high cost of mortgages, and housing for Russians who left the country entered the market.
