OREANDA-NEWS The American companies Mars and Mondelez International have suspended advertising projects in Russia and temporarily refused to invest in the country, it follows from their statements.

"As a food company, we are reducing all non-essential activities in Russia, helping to maintain the continuity of food supplies <...>. We will focus our activities on basic offers, stop all new capital investments and suspend advertising expenses," says Dirk Van de Put, CEO of Mondelez, published on the company's website.

The head of Mondelez noted that the company will monitor the situation and make adjustments if necessary.

Mondelez International operates in more than 150 countries. In Russia, the company has opened three plants in the Vladimir and Novgorod Alpen Gold regions. She owns such brands as Oreo, Alpen Gold, Milka, Toblerone, Barny, Halls, Tuc and others.

Mars has also decided to suspend investments and advertising campaigns in Russia. "We have decided to suspend all advertising campaigns in Russia and Belarus. In addition, we have suspended new investments in Russia," Mars President Grant Reed said in a statement.

The company owns brands such as Bounty, Milky Way, Snickers, Twix, M&M's and others. It also produces pet food Pedigree, Whiskas, Royal Canin and Sheba.
