OREANDA-NEWS  Lead exports from Russia in monetary terms in 2022 fell by 70%, to $ 80 million, while aluminum grew by 7% over the year, to 9.2 billion, according to data from the Federal Customs Service (FCS) of Russia.

So, in 2021, Russia exported $264 million worth of lead and products made from it. Imports of lead fell by 56% over the year to $9.4 million from $21.3 million.

At the same time, exports of aluminum and products made from it increased by 7%, from $ 8.6 billion in 2021 to $9.18 billion in 2022. Imports decreased by 11% — from $ 1.4 billion to $1.27 billion.

Exports of ferrous metals from the Russian Federation decreased by 15% in 2022, to $ 24.5 billion from $29 billion. Their imports also decreased by the same 15% — to $ 5 billion from $5.9 billion. At the same time, the supply of ferrous metal products abroad increased by 9% from $ 4 billion in 2021 to $4.3 billion in 2022. Supplies from abroad decreased by 10%, from $6.5 billion to $5.8 billion.

Exports of copper and its products increased by 16.7% over the year, to $ 7.1 billion from $ 6.1 billion, while imports, on the contrary, decreased by 16.2%, to $ 1.5 billion from $ 1.7 billion. Exports of tin and its products decreased by 2.6% to $19.3 million from $19.8 million, while imports, on the contrary, increased by 39.3% to $31.5 million from $22.6 million.

Supplies from the Russian Federation abroad of other base metals, cermets and products made from them increased slightly — by 1.8%, from $ 694 million in 2021 to $ 706 million in the past. Their imports grew much more significantly — by 55.2%, to $ 611 million from $ 394 million.
