OREANDA-NEWS  Hungary reliably supplies medicines to Russia, the turnover has increased in 2023, said the Minister of Health of the Russian Federation Mikhail Murashko, who is co-chairman of the Russian-Hungarian intergovernmental commission.

"Hungarian pharmaceutical companies regularly fulfill their obligations and supply medicines to our country. I want to note that in 2023, these turnovers have also grown," Murashko said at a press conference with Hungarian Foreign Minister Peter Szijjarto.

He noted that Hungary is a country actively introducing innovations in the field of healthcare, which is confirmed by a large number of Nobel laureates in this field among Hungarians.

"We are discussing new projects for mutually beneficial cooperation that will allow us to influence mortality rates, in particular from oncological diseases. I would like to note that within the framework of the Central-Eastern European Academy of Oncology from the Russian side, the vice-president is the chief freelance specialist in oncology academician (Andrey) Kaprin. And we are interested in scientific and practical cooperation to reduce morbidity and mortality from oncological causes," Murashko said.

According to Szijjarto, this topic will be discussed at a meeting between Murashko and Hungarian Interior Minister Sandor Pinter, whose department is responsible for health issues.
