OREANDA-NEWS  From January to October 2025, India increased imports of Russian vodka 2.9 times. This was reported by RIA Novosti with reference to the Ministry of Trade and Industry of this South Asian country.

Supplies are estimated at $820,000, which is the highest in two years. In just ten months of last year, India purchased almost $22.3 million worth of this alcoholic beverage. In 2024, it was about 18.6 million. Sweden turned out to be the main importer (7.8 million dollars). In addition, France supplied 5.4 million vodkas, Singapore 3.2 million, Russia 1.8 million and Montenegro one million. Russia is in sixth place.

It is specified that the export of Russian gin to India reached 130 thousand dollars against 30 thousand dollars in January-October 2024.

According to other sources, from January to October 2025, Russia sold India about 520 tons of strong alcohol, including vodka, gin, whiskey and tinctures worth 900 thousand dollars. The achieved figure turned out to be three times higher than what took place in the same period in 2024.
