Ankara, which restricted lemon exports in the spring due to the effects of frosts, increased lemon shipments 4.5 times month-on-month in October, to $65.7 million. In 2024, it was reported that Moscow had a record purchase of this type of citrus in Turkey.

This autumn, the export of lemons from Abkhazia to the Russian Federation has more than doubled. At the same time, the retail price of the fruit increased by 44 percent in Russia over the year.
