OREANDA-NEWS  The Russian airline Aeroflot is opening ticket sales for flights to the Cuban Varadero, the company said.

Russia will resume regular flights with Cuba from July 1. Aeroflot CEO Sergey Alexandrovsky told RIA Novosti last week that the Rossiya airline, part of the Aeroflot group, initially plans to operate two flights to Cuba per week, depending on demand, the flight program will expand. Aeroflot opens ticket sales for Varadero (Cuba). Flights will be operated by Rossiya Airlines on Boeing 777 wide-body airliners. Flights are scheduled from July 1," the message says. There are two flights in the schedule, they will be operated on Thursdays and Saturdays.

"Starting from September 5, it is planned to introduce a third weekly flight - on Tuesdays," Aeroflot notes.

Varadero is a year-round resort, one of the largest in the Caribbean. The length of the resort area is 20 kilometers. There are about 60 hotels for every taste and budget.
