OREANDA-NEWS The construction of high-speed trains in Russia will create a stable order for machine-building enterprises for decades to come and will help ensure technological sovereignty, according to the materials for the strategic session held by Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin.

It recalls that in Russia, in accordance with the plan approved by Russian President Vladimir Putin, five high-speed rail lines will be built: from Moscow to St. Petersburg, Minsk, Yekaterinburg through Kazan, as well as lines to Adler and Ryazan. Construction of the first Moscow –Saint Petersburg HSR line has begun. More than 7.3 thousand people and 2.1 thousand pieces of equipment are involved in the work.

"For the production of the train, work has been established with more than 150 Russian manufacturers of components in 36 regions of the Russian Federation. This will create a stable order for machine-building enterprises for decades to come and will help ensure technological sovereignty," the materials say.
