OREANDA-NEWS  Kaspersky Lab will provide the Russian Atom electric vehicle with protection against hacking and remote attacks by intruders using a new security gateway, and in the future it will add the ability to remotely diagnose cars, the company's press service told RIA Novosti.

Kaspersky Lab has provided a functional sample of the Atom electric vehicle with protection against remote attacks by intruders... The IT company has integrated its solution into the car - the Kaspersky Automotive Secure Gateway (CSG) security gateway based on the Kaspersky Ios operating system," the message reads. Initially, KASG will protect the electric vehicle from hacking, will allow you to safely update the software and monitor events. However, it is planned to work on the solution and improve its functions until 2025.

In particular, Kaspersky Lab plans to add the possibility of remote diagnostics of cars, which will allow automakers to receive information about breakdowns through a secure channel if for some reason it is impossible to bring a car to a service center, connect at a distance, promptly assist the car owner.
