OREANDA-NEWS   In January of this year, Russians bought 17,468 commercial and passenger cars of the domestic Lada brand compared to 18,045 units in January 2022 - sales of cars in the country for this month decreased by 3.3 percent year—on-year. At the same time, sales of Lada Granta models increased sharply, an increase of 115.4 percent compared to the same month in 2022. In addition, demand for Lada Niva Legend and Lada Niva Travel models increased by 94 percent. In total, 2.8 thousand Lada Niva Travel cars were sold in January (plus 123.7 percent year-on-year) and 2.06 thousand - Lada Niva Legend (plus 63.2 percent).

According to Dmitry Kostromin, the concern's vice president for sales and Marketing, Lada's share in the Russian market exceeded 40 percent in 2023. He added that such indicators indicate the demand for cars among citizens.
