OREANDA-NEWS The head of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation Denis Manturov, during a meeting in New Delhi, called for expanding direct flights between Russia and India. This is reported by RIA Novosti.

According to him, this will contribute to the expansion of mutual tourist flow and unhindered exchange of business delegations.

"India could become one of the key partners in the development of the North-South international transport corridor," Manturov added.

Earlier, blogger Nikolay Livshits reported that direct flights between Russia and Georgia could be resumed from April 18.

Later, Vnukovo airport denied the appearance of direct flights to Georgia. The appearance of direct flights to Georgia was explained by a technical malfunction of the scoreboard. After the flight to Tbilisi airport from Georgian Airways disappeared from the airport's online scoreboard.
