OREANDA-NEWS  The situation with jet fuel supplies to airports remains under control, and the Ministry of Energy, the Ministry of Transport and other departments are dealing with the issue. This was announced by Dmitry Yadrov, head of the Federal Air Transport Agency, at the Innoprom International industrial exhibition in Yekaterinburg, RIA Novosti reports.

"As you can see, the planes are flying, the schedule is being fulfilled," the official told reporters.

Earlier, due to problems due to unscheduled repairs at oil refineries, the government banned the export of jet fuel until November 30 to stabilize the domestic fuel market.

Against this background, the media reported that Russia is preparing to import a shipment of jet kerosene from Japan with a volume of at least 200,000 barrels with transshipment off the coast of South Korea.

Moscow did not confirm such plans, and a few days later, the Japanese authorities announced that they would not consent to any fuel exports to Russia, either directly or through intermediaries. The Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry, Ryosei Akazawa, explained the ban with sanctions.
