OREANDA-NEWS  At the beginning of 2023, Russians bought 868,257 used cars, which is 16 percent more than in January-February last year. This is reported by Vedomosti with reference to the data of Avtostat info.

Citizens were more active in purchasing used cars of foreign brands, 634,485 of them were sold against 233,772 cars of Russian production. Compared to the same period in 2022, sales increased by 18 and 10 percent, respectively.

At the same time, the domestic brand Lada became the market leader: in the first two months of the year, Russians bought 202,545 of these cars. The second place was taken by Toyota, sales of this brand amounted to 94,564 used cars, the third - Kia (51,213 cars), the fourth - Hyundai (45,078 cars). The top five aftermarket leaders is closed by Nissan, whose sales grew to 42,611 cars.
