OREANDA-NEWS Auto giant Ford Motor will recall nearly 4.4 million vehicles, including some of its best-selling F-Series pickups and popular SUVs. This was reported by Bloomberg with reference to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) of the USA.
The reason for the large-scale recall was software failures that could damage the proper operation of taillights, turn signals, and trailer brakes. This violates federal safety standards and may make the car less visible to other road users.
The company has promised that it will release a software update that should fix the problem. The latter affected a number of key Ford products, including some F-150 pickups for the 2021-2026 model years, as well as Expedition SUVs and Ranger and Maverick pickups.
In early February, Ford Motor announced a record quarterly loss in its history. It turned out that in the fourth quarter of 2025, the net loss of this auto giant reached $ 11.1 billion after significant previously announced write-downs under electric vehicle development programs.
