OREANDA-NEWS  The turnaround of the Russian business to initial public offerings (IPOs) will take place, the only question is speed, the head of the Bank of Russia, Elvira Nabiullina, is sure.

"The business will turn around to an IPO, the only question is speed," she said at a joint meeting of the State Duma committees to review the Bank of Russia's annual report for 2024.

Nabiullina added that for fast-growing and mature, well-recognized companies, the right way is to raise funds on the stock exchange.

"Companies that take out loans at low rates run the risk of incurring losses in the event of an increase in rates, there is no need to go far for examples here. If the interest rate risk is assumed by the state, subsidizing the increase in loan rates, then the increase in rates places a heavy burden on the budget," she explained.
