OREANDA-NEWS The Ambassador of the United States of America to Ukraine, Bridget Brink, said on the social network X (former social network Twitter) that Washington handed over 50 wagons to Ukraine for grain transportation, thereby helping Kiev to create alternative grain export routes.

The Wall Street Journal newspaper, citing officials, previously wrote that the United States is negotiating with Turkey, Ukraine and other Eastern European countries to create alternative routes for exporting Ukrainian grain after the termination of the "grain deal". According to her, most of the grain will be sent along the Danube River, as well as through the Black Sea to nearby ports in Romania, then to other destinations.

"This week we delivered 50 wagons to the Ukrainian company Nibulon for grain transportation through (the US Agency for International Development – ed.) USAID to help transport grain to the ports of the Danube, from where it will be sent to world markets," the ambassador wrote. She added that by doing so, the United States allows Ukraine to "create and expand alternative routes for exports," and also helps "stabilize world grain prices and "feed the most vulnerable population."
